Are You a Crier or a Doer?

In life it is ‘easier’ to wish things were better, and cry about what isn’t fair and complain about what others have or haven’t done to you, than to actually change yourself and your situations. However, easier isn’t better or long lasting or fulfilling. It is just easier in the short term.

“People can cry much easier than they can change.” — James Baldwin What a profound statement from James. Are you a crier or a doer? Or are you both?

If change was easy, then the entire population would change when things got tough, but this sadly isn’t the case. It seems it is so much better to blame others for the situations you find yourself in, and to cry and hold a pity party for anyone who will listen.

Successful and happy people DO something about the situations they find themselves in. These successful and happy people DO have challenges and setbacks along their road, just as we all do. However, instead of complaining, they change and adapt the areas that needs to be improved. Sadly most people fail to do this.

Is there something in your life at this moment that you have cried or complained about continuously? Come on – be honest. Have you cried and complained about something you have done nothing about other than cried and complained? If there is – take a good look at the situation. What can you do right now to take steps to changing your life? Take small steps day-by-day. Step away from the average, and step up to success and happiness.
