Today is Friday the 13th. Is it a lucky day for you or a day you stay indoors – just in case?
It really all depends on your perspective. Whichever way you look upon the day, or an event, in your life, usually determines the outcome. Are you a person who always sees the negative in a situation? Or do you look at the positives – even if, at times they may be hard to see at first?
As I mentioned in a previous article, 2 people may look at exactly the same situation and have entirely different outlooks. For me, although at times I need to remind myself, I can always find a glimmer of hope in any situation once I start to look through different eyes.
When I find myself focusing on the negatives, I have now learned to stop myself, re-focus, and my whole attitude changes. It really is that simple. The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your thoughts. Isn’t it worth making the choices that will enhance that quality rather than hinder it?
