What Perception Will You Take?

How many times have you said “If only……this happened,  my life would be better? If only I could win a lottery, If only my boss knew what he was doing, If only my husband/wife understood me better.  Does this sound familiar? Everything that happens to you on a daily basis will give you the choice on how to perceive it and how to respond. We can let things get us down and depressed or we can choose to let them move us in the right direction.L Thomas Holdcraft has an amazing thought on the subject of perception. “Life is a grindstone. But whether it grinds us down or polishes us up depends on us.”

Sounds pretty simple doesn’t it? The reality is, most people choose to give away their power to someone or something in their lives which they perceive they have no control over. The reality is far different. By being conscious of how you are responding to circumstances, you are able to choose to see the good or the positives in everything. This will make you feel and therefore react differently. The circumstances may not change, but your reaction to them will. You will become more accepting, a lot happier and this new outlook will take you to new heights in your life!
