Are You Always Trying to do the Right Thing?

Do you live your life always trying to do the right thing? Do you try to make sure that everyone is happy, and that everyone has everything they need? Everyone except you, that is? So often, we see people so intent on pleasing everyone around them, they actually please no-one, least of all themselves.

“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is to try and please everyone”.

Any degree of success, whether it is in your career, your relationships or financially needs focus. You need to decide that you will be successful in your chosen area. However, if you are always looking over your shoulder to everyone around you, you will lose sight of the goal, and go off target.

I am not saying not to be considerate of people around you. However, when you are successful reaching your target, or at least moving towards it, you are more likely to be a positive role model. By spreading yourself so thin trying to please everyone in everything, you will most likely please no-one in anything.

Can you relate to these paragraphs? In today’s busy life, we are encouraged to be superhuman. We do not need to be superhuman to have an amazing life. Decide what you want, be committed and act. By moving forward, being clear in your intentions, you will please the most important person, yourself. This in turn, will have a beneficial effect on those around you.
