Are You Enjoying Your Life Experience?

When was the last time you did something exciting? Something that got your pulse racing, something that made you feel alive and invigorated? Can you even remember an experience that excited you, or do you live your life as a “near life experience?”

Same things day after day, going to work the same way, doing the same things on the same day, no surprises, no excitement, nothing to look forward to. This is what I like to call a “near-life experience”. You are alive, but are you truly living?

Everyone dies, but not everyone fully lives. Too many people are having a “near-life experience.” Author Unknown

We all have the mundane parts of life that we do. That is part of being human. Another part of being human is the enjoyment of our life. We have been given emotions, something that most other mammals do not have. Why not utilize all those emotions in our daily lives?

It is perfectly normal to feel sadness and frustration at times, but if these are the only emotions that fill our lives, there is so much more you are missing out on. Think back to the past week. What are the emotions you have felt on a regular basis? Happiness, excitement, frustration, anger, hope????

Have you lived this past week as you truly wanted to? I can remember being asked once, “If this was your last week on this earth, how would you live it?” Whenever I find myself getting that negative vibe or feeling a bit sorry for myself, I remind myself of this question, and more importantly my answer.

Do you want to live this last week full of misery or anger, or would you like to surround yourself with memories of good times and laughter. One day this will be our last day on earth, live well and have no regrets!
